This Privacy Policy explains what information invoices.net ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and invoice generator (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
The short version: you can create and download invoices without an account. The invoices you create are assembled in your browser, and we don't sell your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
a. Invoice content
When you use the invoice generator without an account, the details you enter are processed in your browser to build your invoice. That includes your business and client details, line items, amounts, notes and logo. We don't need this information on our servers to generate your document.
b. Account information
If you create an account, we collect the information you provide: your first and last name, email address, country and password. We store passwords only in hashed form. If you save invoices, clients or defaults to your account, we store that content so we can show it back to you.
c. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers automatically record basic technical information when you visit:
- your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- browser type, operating system and device type;
- the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time of your visit.
d. Communications
If you email us, we keep your message and contact details so we can respond.
2. How We Use Information
- to provide, operate and maintain the Service, including your account if you have one;
- to keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and troubleshoot problems;
- to understand how the Service is used in aggregate so we can improve it;
- to respond to your requests and send service-related messages, such as password resets;

4. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us run the Service, such as web hosting and our content delivery and security network (Cloudflare). They may process information only on our behalf and under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
- For legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or needed to protect the rights, property or safety of invoices.net, our users or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, in which case the information would remain subject to this policy.
5. Data Retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted HTTPS connections and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
